The Lodge
The Lodge provides accommodation for small groups and has a maximum sleeping accommodation for 22 people. It is possible to arrange for other people to camp near the Lodge and use the Lodge for indoor activities. Camp fees are payable for numbers above 22. Outside the Lodge there is a grass area which is for the exclusive use of users of the Lodge.
This building isn’t accessible for people who use wheelchairs as there are a number of steep steps into both of the building entrances.
Please note that camping or pitching of tents is not normally permitted on the adjacent grassed area but if you have a burning need please talk to us.
Sleeping
This building has sleeping accommodation for 22 people. The main room is carpeted and this has 12 bunks in it. There are also three separate carpeted rooms. Two of these have 4 bunks in each and one has 2 bunks in it. All the bunks are complete with mattresses. Personal bedding is not supplied, all users must bring their own pillows and pillowcases, plus sleeping bags (or blankets and sheets).
Main Room
Apart from sleeping the main room (40ft by 20ft) is used as a dining area and activity room complete with tables and chairs. A large Television and DVD/VCR video player are provided.
Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped with sinks, a commercial oven with a six-burner hob, fridge/freezer, cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery for 30 people. Tea towels and cleaning materials are not provided.
Toilet
There is a night toilet provided in the building.
Leaders Lounge
A room intended for use of Leaders.
Services
There is ample hot and cold water supply in the kitchen. Electricity and ducted hot air heating is provided throughout the building.
Health and Safety
The Lodge is equipped with night-lights, emergency lighting, fire alarm, smoke detectors and emergency exits. An electronic fly catcher is provided in the Kitchen.
Charges
Please see the charges for 2023, or 2024 for full details, there are no hidden extras, all electricity, gas and heating are included in the price.
