Bramhope Scout campsite & Activity centre is owned and managed by Central Yorkshire County scout council, a registered charity. As part of Central Yorkshire’s provision, we are fortunate to have a campsite and activity centre at Bramhope, near Leeds. It’s a fabulous 13 acre site, comprising of residential buildings, camping fields and woodlands. At Bramhope we have been developing outdoor education programmes to support schools in their delivery of the national curriculum.

The Scouting vision for 2025 was to prepare more young people with skills for life. The aim is to grow, be more inclusive, and make a bigger impact in our communities:  this is what we are trying to do at Bramhope by making the site more accessible.

We have begun this journey by developing ‘Outdoor Learning’ sessions for Foundation and Key stage 1, as we are fortunate to have a member of staff with Early Years Professional status and many years experience.

Bramhope is an amazing site, providing a safe outdoor space for pupils to explore and engage in meaningful learning. Ofsted have stated that ‘When planned and implemented well, learning outside the classroom contributed significantly to raising standards and improving pupils’ personal, social and emotional development’

We are available to discuss tailored packages, and will be adding new suggestions to our Outdoor Learning resources to our website over the coming months.

We look forward to working with and supporting you, so please feel free to get in touch, discuss ideas or have a site visit.

Expression of interest.
