General Information

The Site

Bramhope Scout Campsite and Activity Centre is a wonderful thirteen acres (5.2 hectares) surrounded by a wide variety of trees, with sites suitable for District, Troop and Patrol camping. Wood fires are encouraged with wood supplied from the campsiteā€™s wood pile. Mains water is supplied by taps placed throughout the fields. Bramhope has a heated toilet block with separate male and female entrances, leading to separate rooms with toilets, wash basins & showers. There is a separate heated adult unisex shower room. An external sink with hot and cold water is provided for DofE groups to carry out their washing up.

The site is available to members of The Scouts and Guiding UK and, subject to the approval of the Management Committee, to Schools and other properly constituted organizations. The campsite and facilities are not available to the general public.

Road access to the campsite is easy for cars and there is an adequate car park. The use of very wide and/or very long coaches is not recommended! This is because there are a number of sharp bends on the narrow approach roads. To minimize inconvenience to our neighbours and local residents, users bringing any coach should make sure that it is suitable, and familiarise themselves with the route and ensure they have an experienced driver.
